ENtRANCE: Community Engaged research and learning entering the curricula
ENgaged ReseArch coNnecting Community with higher Education, that’s what ENtRANCE stands for and is working towards. Through supporting students and researchers to collaborate with local communities and civil society organizations (CSOs) in research projects, this Erasmus+ project (2018-2020) aims to enhance the social engagement in Higher Education Institutions.
The ENtRANCE project started with a large-scale needs study with organisations and an impact study of Science Shop research. Based on the results, we designed training models on how to bring Community Engaged Research and Learning (CERL) into practice. All institutions conducted CERL pilot projects with multidisciplinary team of students, staff and CSOs. Please find the outputs on https://entrance-project.eu/results/. (All outputs will be ready by November 2020.)
VUB-WTNSCHP coordinates this project, and the partner institutions are Lahti University of Applied Sciences (FIN), Vilnius college of Technologies & Design (LT), Wageningen University (NL) and Maiêutica (ISMAI/IPMAIA) (PT).
